Safety Management Systems
The law requires employers to have safe systems of work.
With Sentry you have access to our Principal Consultant who is an accredited Lead Auditor (Exemplar Global Standard) to internationally recognised Standard ISO 45001:2018 “Safety Management Systems” with over 20 years of Safety System development, auditing, assessing and implementing. With Sentry you benefit from our significant skills, experience and expertise in:
- Identifying gaps in safety systems
- Planning a way forward to close those gaps or if no system exists, then start from scratch
- Audit and review
Example: Melbourne Racing Club was the first Australian (possibly the world) thoroughbred racing club to have an accredited Safety Management System implemented to the Standard (AS 4801:2001 Safety Management Systems – predecessor to now 45001) and the WorkSafe approved SafetyMAP Advanced Level.
Because of the knowledge of Racing in Australia, Sentry was recently (2019) engaged by the internationally recognised Hong Kong Jockey Club to conduct a business wide Audit against the ISO 45001:2018 Standard. The findings of which were greatly received and had significant positive impact.
